Ongoing Clinics

  • We offer several clinics on a weekly basis. During our outdoor season, sign-up is not required.
  • Most of our clinics are based on NTRP ratings so that live ball drills with similarly skilled players can be accomplished. If you are unsure of your NTRP rating, any teaching professional on our staff can provide you with an assessment. You can see the current month’s clinic schedule under our ‘Schedules’ tab
  • Don’t miss out on our weekly “Price is Right” free clinic for our platinum members. We offer this clinic at both locations on Saturdays.  They are at different times at each club so you can participate in them both if you wish!

Social Events

  • ARC has a calendar of events full of member events and/or socials. Some of these events are very simple and others are more elaborate with food and beverage included.
  • Our favorite event of the year is our Summer Pro League series, where the teaching pros or 5.0+ players in our area compete on Friday nights on stadium court at ARC South. We fire up the grill and sell drinks every Friday night from June 4 – July 30.  This has historically been one of our most enjoyable social events for members to hang out, eat/drink and heckle and/or cheer on the pros with their ARC friends and family.
  • Other events on our calendar of events include, but are not limited to Holiday doubles round-robin play (St Patty’s day doubles mixer, Halloween costume mixer and Ugly Christmas outfit social), parent/child round robins, junior nights on the court with music and pizza, and a club championship event.
  • Our club slogan is “Where Friends & Family Meet” and we want to be our member’s home away from home where they can engage with their ARC family and friends on a daily basis.

USTA Leagues

  • USTA (United States Tennis Association) membership is required for all of these leagues
  • To join USTA, go to usta.com and follow the blue box at the top right “JOIN”
  • You will need to self-rate at nctennis.com.  A player is given an NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) rating after answering a series of questions.   A beginner rating is a 2.5.  After that, they increase by .5 increments.
  • When you join as a Platinum (tennis) member at ARC, you will receive a 30-minute complimentary lesson with a teaching professional on our staff. The pro will be able to recommend the level you should rate and compete at.

Challenge Ladders

ARC run’s challenge ladders through the Winter months.   In years past, we have had men’s doubles ladders for 3.5/4.0, women’s ladders, and mixed doubles ladders.  Those ladders are all run online.  We send out the links, members sign up (there is no fee), contact the other players on the ladder to set up matches (which can be played at the location of your choosing), and then report your scores online.  For more information on getting signed up on a ladder, please contact Rumi Kakareka, Assistant Director of Tennis, at rkakareka@me.com

Triples

  • Triples is a fun, social activity for both adults and juniors where a low compression ball is used and there are 3 players on each end of the court. Triples is a great cardio activity and tons of FUN!
  • Triples are offered at ARC South on Fridays at 6 pm. Happy hour begins at 5:30 pm; $1 off all beer and wine!
  • Pizza is provided each Friday night for all Triples participants
